ICE COLD - Western - Yorkshire
The cold weather really does bring out the best in our landscape! I think it’s because everything becomes a little more unique. Sadly we tend to appreciate things a bit more when they are more unattainable. They stimulate a deeper intrest and like most things in our socity, if something is rare the desire for it increaces.
Also photographically speaking, the snow brings a convienent tendency for simplification, which enables the viewer to organise the composition in such a way that the landscape almost becomes a symbol, making it easer to read and understand.
One other thing that I think is also under looked is that it also brings out our inner child. I mean running through this field to get to this tree before the sun broke through the clouds and made the scene too bright, was lots of fun! Anyway I hope you like it.
